All Speed Stabilization Fin

A new unique innovative custom-ready fin design

The Humphree Stabilization Fin brings state of the art technology with fast acting brushless electric servo units. Powered by 24 V DC this fin will allow you the possibility to have full comfort without the need of genset running. The new Humphree fin design has its upper edge made solid, another unique Humphree innovation.

The usual necessity of cutting the fin to avoid touching the hull is easier because no lamination is required. Simply cut the thin solid part of the fin to required shape and it is ready to be installed. Now it is possible to reach a better tolerance of the modification compared to the traditional cutting/fiberglass work.
Combining the Humphree Fin system with our interceptors and you have a full stabilization system for roll, pitch, and yaw motions. For best control and lowest fuel burn.

Features & benefits

– Custom-ready design
Upper edge made solid, no lamination needed when the fin has been cut and rebuilt in order to be fitted without touching the hull when it rotates.

– 24V DC
Clean operation without hydraulics, and no genset required.

– 360° rotation
Combats anchor walk, the 360° rotation allows the Humphree to rotate the fins 180° and gently pull the anchor when anchored at the bow. This minimizes the so-called anchor walk and will keep the bow against the wind to a noticeable extent reducing waves coming from the side.

– Flange mount
The unique fin flange mount design minimizes the damages in case of grounding and ensures installation of fins is easy and fast.

– All Speed Stabilization
Stabilization full time, at anchor or full speed.

– Integrated Interceptors for total motion control (Pitch & Roll)
Notice the difference with the combination of Interceptors and fins total motion control.

– Compact size & low weight
Sturdy and compact with an unbeatably low weight. A depth of only 310mm from outside hull. Humphree All Speed Fins can be easily modified where the other options are too big.

Stabilizing Fin

This new electric fin stabilizing system from Humphree brings you a cost and power effective stabilizing system.

With the ability to control the Roll and Pitch motions on board the vessel, the ride and comfort for the crew and passengers is improved. For better damping efficiency of a Fin Ride Control system this is a proven design for underway stabilization.

Features & benefits

– 24V DC
With the system powered directly from the power bank in the vessel there’s no need for complicated installations with hydraulic pipes.

– Brushless electric motors
The electric motors have a minimum requirement of service.

– Designed for 24/7 operating time
The Humphree pitch fins will keep your vessel stabilized. All. Year. Long. t

– Classified installation
The installation can be class approved.

Electric Rudder

The Humphree 24V DC electric rudders are used for excellent course stability minimizing yaw movements. The rudders are operated during manual or auto pilot mode. Effective integration with waterjets minimizes thrust losses when steering, which saves fuel and increases vessel speed. The use of electric rudders will also provide less wear and tear on the waterjet steering systems.

Features & benefits

– Immediate steering response
– Improved vessel speed
– Low fuel consumption (up to 10%)
– Superior course keeping
– Improved maneuverability
– 24 V DC electric powered
– Easy integration with waterjet steering systems
– Emergency backup steering
– Easy to install
– Several rudder sizes are available

Fixed Fin

Many waterjet boats experience course keeping problems due to the missing underwater lateral area that helps the vessel to keep its course. An added lateral area is most efficient when installed in the very aft of the hull. Having a wing profile fin gives a corrective force on yaw with the lowest resistance possible. Humphree has developed a series of fixed fins that can be bolted to the hull. The bolts have been tested and verified to break off and keep the hull intact to limit the damage to the boat.

Features & benefits

– Sub-cavitating stabilizing fins (below 40 knots)
– Several sizes available, HFF400 and HFF650
– Base-ventilated stabilizing fins (above 40 knots) HFF500
– Several sizes available, HVFF300 and HVFF500
